PROPHECY IN THE SONGS-CHAPTER 3 PART
THE DAUGHTERS OF JERUSALEM – THE MARRIAGE THE SEALING OF 144,000?
NOTE: FIRST HALF IS THE SUMMARY, SCROLL DOWN FURTHER FOR MORE IN DEPTH STUDY NOTES:
In Chapter 3 of Songs there is a parallel to Revelations 7. Those who arrive from the wilderness/tribulation, the tribulations saints; threescore valiant men who accompany them and a bed Solomon made for himself; a chariot the king made for the daughters of Jerusalem that is paved in the midst with love for them. The bed appears to be a marriage, and a sealing of the daughters, the 144,000. He is crowned, worthy is the lamb who was slain.
RECAP: The “General Itinerary for the Bride” examines the order of events for the bride of Christ. Chapter 1 and 2, is the “catching away” of the bride, the marriage, the first 50 days, the banquet (Pentecost), and the ministry of the bride. Chapter 3 is “The Foolish Virgins who finds an Earthly intimacy with the king but never enters into the marriage of the King. Also in chapter 3 there are those who are coming up from the wilderness, also a royal procession, the kings bed paved with love for the daughters of Jerusalem, that appear to be the 144,000 witness. Behold the king crowned, who is worthy. Each chapter in Songs unfolds layers of hidden prophecy; there is a chronological order and patterns in the Songs that appears to follows very closely with the first half of the book of Revelations.
THE DAUGHTERS OF JERUSALEM, THE CHORUS OF THE SONGS- THE 144,000 WITNESS: The daughters of Jerusalem are the chorus of the Songs; the chorus that began in Genesis and is woven and sung throughout the entire scriptures; the chorus though the scriptures are the 12 Tribes of Israel. The beautiful chorus in The Songs is the FIRSTFRUITS from the 12 tribes of Israel, the daughters by all accounts appear to be the 144,000 witness; other chapters in the Songs appear to support chapters 3 in confirming the marriage and description of the 144,000. The marriage bed is a type of sealing. The daughters are not before the throne at this time, the marriage bed is made ready for them.
A LITTLE BACKGROUD ON THE DAUGHTERS OF JERUSALEM FOUND IN THE SONGS: In chapters 1 and 2 the “daughters of Jerusalem” have been in the back ground in the Songs, the bride appears to be having a conversation with them after being “drawn up” and brought into the kings chamber. The daughters never entered into dialogue with the bride (an Earthly conversation), the daughters do have the ability to “stir or awake the king”. Jesus, the Bride and the 144,000 are Firstfruits; Firstfruits are associated with the barley harvest and the Feast of Firstfruits. The Firstfruit bride of the church age will follow the pattern set by Jesus and the Old Testament Saints and be raised on the “Third Day”. He will come to us in Month 1, and on the third day he would raise us up and we would live in his site; Hosea 6:2. The “third Day” is “the resurrection day.” The 144,000 are the firstfruits of the Jews, this shows that they are the firstfruits of many more Jewish believers who will survive the Tribulation and come to saving faith. These Israelites are from twelve named tribes and they are sealed so they can do a mission on earth. These are not identified with the mission of the Church age on earth for Paul told us there is no distinction between Jew and Gentile in the Church.
SUMMARY Chapter 3: The bride too the daughters: “I charge you daughters of Jerusalem, by the roes, and by the hinds of the field, that ye stir not up, nor awake my love, till he pleases”. Awaking the King or stirring, meaning the time has not yet come for the daughters of Jerusalem big moment (we know the King is not literally asleep or not active at this time). The Daughters of Jerusalem can’t yet wake him because of the roes and hinds; roes are swift might men of valor; hinds that are giving birth in the field (new converts). In other words, do not wake or stir the king, your time has not come for your big day. Details on this in study below.
“Who is this that cometh out of the wilderness like pillars of smoke, perfumed with myrrh and frankincense with powders of the merchants” Songs 3:6, these or those that appear to be the great multitude, which no man could number, they also come appear with mighty men of Valor who accompany the kings bed...for the daughters of Jerusalem, the 144,000. These men of valor ARE NOT THE 144,000, they appear to escort the bed the king had made for the daughters, they are warriors prepared for battle. Nothing is mentioned of them in Revelations, but in the book of Nahum, which is a type of Revelations, we see mighty men of valor who could fit this description; perhaps the same or not; needless to say the daughters/144,000 will naturally have an escort, their mission is to witness, and any good king will send out mighty men of valor skillfully equipped to protect what is his.
The King of Peace made for HIMSELF, the bed and the midst of it is paved with love, for the daughters of Jerusalem, the 144,000. The bed that is mentioned in Chapter 3 of Songs fits the description of the temple; the bed is symbolic of a marriage, and is from the same root word as SEAL, this bed represents the sealing the marriage with the Daughters of Jerusalem. Note; there are ONLY TWO MARRIAGE BEDS in the book of Songs, the Bride in “his chamber” Songs 1:4 and “our bed is green” Songs 1:16 and Kings Solomon bed for paved with love for the Daughters of Jerusalem Songs 3:10. Two beds for two distinct groups the bride of Christ is both gentile and Jew, which is the CHURCH age,pre-trib., and the 144,000 are male Jews; both are considered Firstfruits, both go into the marriage with the king. (in depth study below).
Those from the wilderness the foolish and the Kings bed: There is no mention of “Those who come up from the wilderness”/ tribulation entering into the kings, chamber or have a marriage or marrige bed with the king. There experience with him is found in chapter 3 of Songs verses 1- 4, they have will experience the latter rain, but the door to the marriage was shut to them as is with the foolish virgins, Mathew 25. For more on this read Songs 3 part 1. Foolish Virging
SONGS Chapter 3 and Revelations Chapter 7 a fit: In Revelation chapter 7, just prior to the opening of the seventh seal on the scroll by the Lamb, we see discussion regarding two companies of people.
Rev 7:1 And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.
Rev 7:2 And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea,
Rev 7:3 Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.
(The 144,000 have not been sealed yet, THEY ARE STILL SERVANTS)
The 144,000 are termed servants before they are called. As a saved believer we are “servants” and friends to Christ, but this group is not yet sealed. Until they are sealed they are servants- once they are sealed they have entered into the marriage. Same with the Bride in Songs 1, she is no longer a servant, but has taken on oneness and ownership with the king; what was his has become “OURS” our, bed, our gates, our house, our vines, etc….
Rev 7:4 And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.
FROM SERVANT TO SPOUSE: THE SEALING FOUND IN SONGS: A BED PAVED WITH LOVE FOR THE DAUGHTERS-
ESPOUSAL- 144,000 AND SEALING
SONGS 3:9 King Solomon made himself a chariot of the wood of Lebanon. 10He made the pillars thereof of silver, the bottom thereof of gold, the covering of it of purple, the midst thereof being paved with love, for the daughters of Jerusalem. 11Go forth, O ye daughters of Zion, and behold king Solomon with the crown wherewith his mother crowned him in the day of his espousals, and in the day of the gladness of his heart.
SEAL THE 144,000,
SEAL AND MARRIAGE: Same root word for a marriage a wedding
• H2859; khaw-than' Espousal-A primitive root; to give (a daughter) away in marriage; hence (generally) to contract affinity by marriage: - join in affinity, Sa
me root word- seal up marriage-
• H2856- - khaw-tham or n A primitive root; to close up; especially to seal: - make an end, mark, seal (up), stop.
Rev 7:9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;
Songs: SONGS 3:6 Who is this that cometh out of the wilderness like pillars of smoke, perfumed with myrrh and frankincense, with all powders of the merchant? ( myrrh=purity, frankincense is pure white)
Rev 7:10 And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.
Rev 7:11 And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God,
Rev 7:12 Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen. SONGS 3:11 BEHOLD YOUR KING: 11 Go forth, O ye daughters of Zion, and behold king Solomon with the crown wherewith his mother crowned him in the day of his espousals, and in the day of the gladness of his heart.
Rev 7:13 And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they?
Rev 7:14 And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, these are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. SONGS 3:6 Who is this that cometh out of the wilderness like pillars of smoke
In Rev 7:14 we see the answer… ”These are they which came out of the great tribulation”.

• The daughters of Jerusalem are made known to the bride after her catching away and marriage. Songs 1:5 ( Are they in Heaven or Earth? Good question.)
• The bride mentions her appearance too them as if she needs to explain herself; who else could make the bride explain away her situation? Songs 1:6
• The Daughters of Jerusalem have not entered into a marriage with the king – Songs until chapter 4 of Songs.
• The Daughters of Jerusalem can stir and awake the King, after the spring is over. Songs 2:7
• The king makes a bed for the Daughters of Jerusalem; a nuptial bed- marriage, same root word used for sealing. Songs 3:7-10
• The king makes himself a chariot for the Daughters of Jerusalem. Songs 3:9
• The chariot description is like that of the temple a type of the ark, it is paved with love for the daughters of Jerusalem. Songs 3:8
• Threescore valiant men are about the bed, the valiant men of Israel. Songs3:7
• Threescore men are fit for battle; they all hold swords, being expert in war. Songs 3:7 ( these are not the 144,000)
• The threescore men have swords upon their thigh because of fear in the night/tribulation .Songs 3:7
• Mission of the threescore valiant men of Israel: too accompanying and protect the bed, the marriage of the king that was “made for the daughters of Jerusalem” A bed made/ marriage made- sealing the 144,000.
• The chariot – glorious transportation made for the daughters, mode of transportation, valiant men of Israel, the king’s men, appear to accompany them the bed, perhaps the chariot. Songs 3:7
• A MATCH IN SONGS AND REVELATIONS -Who are those coming up from the wilderness? Chapter 3:6-10 a match with Rev 7 wilderness, the sealing of the 144,000?
• “BEHOLD THE KING” with the crown wherewith his mother crowned him in the day of his espousals, and in the day of the gladness of his heart. Songs 3
• THE CROWNING WORTHY IS THE LAMB!: 6And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth. 12Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing. Read Rev. 5:6-14. The lamb who is worthy, worshiped, and unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.
• THE DAUGHTERS Of JERUSALEM 144,000 in chapter 4 of Songs have become his spouse, in Rev. 7 are sealed. (sealed and marriage from the same root word)
The 144,000 have very special qualities; Revelation 7 and 14 mention them as highly favored of God. They:
• Are sealed by an angel of God
• Are specially selected from the tribes of Israel
• Stand on Mount Zion with "a Lamb"
• Have the Father’s name written on their foreheads
• Sing a new song no one else can sing
• Are redeemed from the earth
• Are called "virgins"
• Are not defiled with women
• Are considered the firstfruits of God’s harvest,
Are guileless and without fault
A DEEPER LOOK INTO THE STUDY:
DO NOT STIR UP OR AWAKE MY LOVE TILL HE PLEASES, THE DAUGHTERS CAN STIR HIM, WHY?:
A DEEPER LOOK INTO THE STUDY:
DO NOT STIR UP OR AWAKE MY LOVE TILL HE PLEASES, THE DAUGHTERS CAN STIR HIM, WHY?: The daughters have a mission, and there mission goes into play as soon as the King wakes up. (the 144,000 may not know this until after the bride is caught up on the Feast of Firstfruits.)7I charge you, O ye daughters of Jerusalem, by the roes, and by the hinds of the field, that ye stir not up, nor awake my love, till he please.
• MEANING: Daughters do not wake him, let him awake when he pleases, soon enough swiftness of the does will be giving birth to the calves in the field and pasture. The voice of the LORD maketh the hinds to calve, and discovereth the forests: and in his temple doth every one speak of [his] glory. Psa 29:9
THE BIRTH – THE TRAVAIL: The giving birth in the pastures and fields; and those that are coming anew to him, the babes, following the banquet/Pentecost; just as it was in the “upper room” at Pentecost. The groom is sleeping/resting to let those new ones be born before darkness comes/ tribulation. (HER BELOVED IS COMPARED TO A ROE IN SONGS 1:9 He may be active in the birthing process and this is why the daughters of Jerusalem are not to disturb him)
A few confirming verses to hinds:
• Knowest thou the time when the wild goats of the rock bring forth? [or] canst thou mark when the hinds do calve? Job 39:1
• He maketh my feet like hinds' [feet], and setteth me upon my high places. Ps 18:33
THOSE FROM THE WILDERNESS:6Who is this that cometh out of the wilderness like pillars of smoke, perfumed with myrrh and frankincense, with all powders of the merchant?
The 144,000 will serve the Lord as evangelists; their description is followed immediately by the description of "a great multitude which no one can count, from every nation and all tribes and peoples and tongues" (Revelation 7:9). John sees this great host of people in Heaven standing before the throne of God, and he asks "Who are they, and from where have they come?" (Revelation 7:13). He is told that they are people who have come out of the Great Tribulation who "have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb" (Revelation 7:14).
SOLOMONS BED, ITIMACY WITH THE VALIANT OF ISRAEL:7 Behold his bed, which is Solomon's; threescore valiant men are about it, of the valiant of Israel. 8They all hold swords, being expert in war: every man hath his sword upon his thigh because of fear in the night. (night terror/warfare) The tribulation has begun.
SOME POSSIBILITIES OF WHO THESE MIGHTY MEN MAY BE A TYPE OF:
And of the Gadites there separated themselves unto David into the hold to the wilderness men of might, [and] men of war [fit] for the battle, that could handle shield and buckler, whose faces [were like] the faces of lions, and [were] as swift as the roes upon the mountains; 1Ch 12:8
• Separated themselves unto David into the hold to the wilderness ushered in David’s reign
• Mighty men of war, fit for battle,
• Faces like lions
• As swift as the roes upon the mountain
21And they helped David against the band of the rovers: for they were all mighty men of valor, and were captains in the host. 22For at that time day by day there came to David to help him, until it was a great host, like the host of God. 23And these are the numbers of the bands that were ready armed to the war, and came to David to Hebron, to turn the kingdom of Saul to him, according to the word of the LORD. 1 Ch 12:21-
ANOTHER POSSIBILITY TO CONSIDER…..
THEREESCORE MEN ONLY MENTIONED IN SONGS CHAPTER 3 AND IN 2 KINGS 25:19
The threescore men are mentioned only two times in the Bible, Songs being one these men mentioned in 2 Kings being the other; these men were wrongfully slayed. Could they have been given the opportunity during the tribulation too escort the bed of the King? Lets look at 2 Kings-18And the captain of the guard took Seraiah the chief priest, and Zephaniah the second priest, and the three keepers of the door: 19And out of the city he took an officer that was set over the men of war, and five men of them that were in the king's presence, which were found in the city, and the principal scribe of the host, which mustered the people of the land, and threescore men of the people of the land that were found in the city: 20And Nebuzaradan captain of the guard took these, and brought them to the king of Babylon to Riblah: 21And the king of Babylon smote them, and slew them at Riblah in the land of Hamath. So Judah was carried away out of their land.
Have these 3 score men possibly been given an opportunity to be mighty men? Just a thought…..Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, that in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven. Mat 18:10
ANOTHER TYPE OF MIGHTY MEN MENTIONED IN NAHUM, THIS ALSO GOES HAND IN HAND WITH THE MIGHT MEN IN SONGS, ARE THESE THEM?
• Nahum- also a typology of revelations: 3The shield of his mighty men is made red, the valiant men are in scarlet: the chariots shall be with flaming torches in the day of his preparation, and the fir trees shall be terribly shaken. 4The chariots shall rage in the streets, they shall justle one against another in the broad ways: they shall seem like torches, they shall run like the lightnings.
Could these threescore men that were wrong slain were people of the land, they were not mighty men of valor, common men of Israel. Could God have given these common a1AAmen 60 men the opportunity to guard the bed he made for the daughters the 144,000. The men mentioned in Kings were not warriors, they had no swords, to defend themselves, perhaps this may be a shinning moment for them a gallant ending to their demise in at the hand of the king of Babylon. Are the same men mentioned in Songs the same in the book of Nahum? Something to consider…. An interesting question at that!
THE KING MADE HIMSELF A CHARIOT- (BED OR CHARIOT) PAVED WITH LOVE FOR THE DAUGHTERS OF JERUSALEM: 9King Solomon made himself a chariot of the wood of Lebanon. 10He made the pillars thereof of silver, the bottom thereof of gold, the covering of it of purple, the midst thereof being paved with love, for the daughters of Jerusalem.
The bed means nuptial, a marriage, the same root word for SEAL.
Solomon names means peace,
• “Wood” represents the world,
• "Silver" speaks of redemption by the blood of Jesus.
• "Purple" is royalty
• Gold represents God is the foundation
• The paved in the midst with love
The bride, the daughters, 144,000 being redeemed out of the world and becoming the royalty with the King of Peace God is the foundation which is paved with love for his daughters, Jerusalem 9King Solomon made himself a chariot (bed) of the wood of Lebanon.
A CHARIOT- A NUPTIAL BED, SONGS:3:7
Definition of chariot:
a chariot "or, a bed. Appiryon, rendered by Montanus, sponsarum ithalamum, ""a nuptial bed;"" but probably it denotes a kind of palanquin, perhaps synonymous with the Arabic farfar, a species of vehicle for women. Sgs 3:7; 2Sa 2 9King Solomon made himself a chariot (bed) of the wood of Lebanon. 3:5; Rev 14:6"
THE "chariot" DISCRIPITION IS LIKE THE HOLY OF HOLIES, THE ARK: Send me now therefore a man cunning to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass, and in iron, and in purple, and crimson, and blue, and that can skill to grave with the cunning men that [are] with me in Judah and in Jerusalem, whom David my father did provide. 2 Ch 2:7
SEAL THE 144,000 Same root word for a marriage a wedding
H2859; khaw-than' Espousal-
A primitive root; to give (a daughter) away in marriage; hence (generally) to contract affinity by marriage: - join in affinity,
Same root word- seal up marriage-
H2856- khaw-tham' SEAL AND WEDDING SAME WORD- khaw-tham or n
A primitive root; to close up; especially to seal: - make an end, mark, seal (up), stop.
THE DAUGHTERS OF ZION ARE DIFFERENT THE DAUAGHTERS OF JERUSALEM: THE DAUGHTERS OF ZION HAVE ALWAYS HAD A NEGATIVE ATTACHMENT TO THEIR NAME, LOOK HOW THEY ARE DESCRIBED: haughty, walk with stretched out necks, wanton eyes, the lord will wash away the filth of the daughters of Zion.
Go forth, O ye daughters of Zion, and behold king Solomon with the crown wherewith his mother crowned him in the day of his espousals, and in the day of the gladness of his heart.
Moreover the LORD saith, Because the daughters of Zion are haughty, and walk with stretched forth necks and wanton eyes, walking and mincing [as] they go, and making a tinkling with their feet:
Therefore the Lord will smite with a scab the crown of the head of the daughters of Zion, and the LORD will discover their secret parts.
When the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from the midst thereof by the spirit of judgment, and by the spirit of burning.
BUT……. let us not forget look what the Lord does....
And I will betroth thee unto me for ever; yea, I will betroth thee unto me in righteousness, and in judgment, and in lovingkindness, and in mercies. Hos 2:9
THE ANCIENT JEWISH WEDDING:
The ancient Jewish wedding shows us that the return of Jesus is premillennial
The whole process of the ancient Jewish wedding shows us that God's plan for the Church is premillennial:
The groom goes to bride's house and is betrothed to the bride (the faithful on the earth)
He pays the purchase price (His blood)
He returns to his father to prepare a place for the bride (I go to prepare a place for you)
Later the Groom comes for the bride (rapture)
He takes her to his father's house and gives her gifts where she is adorned and prepared for the wedding (bema judgment where Jesus gives the Church its crowns)
The wedding before the father and the witnesses
The wedding feast takes place (on earth with guests of the bride and groom)
