OUR STATEMENT OF FAITH

Posted by lora Guthrie on January 28, 2014 at 3:50 AM

For it is written, if we are to preach the gospel we are to be living out the gospel message daily! Cor 9:14 Even so hath the Lord ordained that they which preach the gospel should live of the gospel. Question? Are you living the gospel.

Mathew 7:20 -21 "So then, you will know them by their fruits. 21"Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter.…

A SUMMATION OF OUR STATEMENT OF FAITH

We believe the truly converted mature Christian resembles the following: Having repented and made Jesus their Lord and Savior and is actively following Him. They having been water baptized and also baptized and filled with the Holy Spirit with evidence of gifts of the Holy Spirit. Having an understanding of God's grace and striving to be obedient to the commandments of the Lord and not diminishing the least of the commandments, which is; to love God with all your heart mind and strength, denying self and loving their neighbor as their self, by considering their neighbors needs as their own just as the early church did under the teaching of the apostles, through the instruction of the HOLY SPIRIT. A truly converted Christian will be bearing fruit in bringing forth the great commission with signs that they are a believer, which is casting out demons, healing the sick, speaking with a new tongue, not becoming sickly*. Also visiting and helping the abandoned women, widow and fatherless children;** also testing false prophets, enduring persecution, spiritually rich, showing love, faith, service, enduring, abstaining from this world, keeping His word, not denying -THE NAME OF JESUS; turning away from those who have a form of godliness but are denying its power; always looking for his appearing and soon return.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

THE WORD

We believe the Bible to be inspired of God; the infallible Word of God. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness 2 Timothy 3:16. The Bible is the only God-given authority which man possesses; therefore, all doctrine, faith, hope, and all instruction for the church must be based upon, and harmonize with, the Bible. It is to be read and studied by all men everywhere, and can only be clearly understood by those who are anointed by the Holy Spirit (1 John 2:27).... no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but Holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost (2 Peter 1:20, 21).

(We use the KJV Bible as well as a Hebrew Roots Bible, because many new popular Bible versions leave out key words and intire scripture)

THE ONE TRUE GOD

We believe in the one ever-living, eternal God: infinite in power, Holy in nature, attributes and purpose; and possessing absolute, indivisible deity. This one true God has revealed Himself as Father, through His Son, in redemption; and as the Holy Spirit, by emanation. (1 Cor. 8:6; Eph. 4:6; 2 Cor. 5:19; Joel 2:28). The Scripture does more than attempt to prove the existence of God; it asserts, assumes and declares that the knowledge of God is universal. (Romans 1:19, 21, 28, 32; 2:15). God is invisible, incorporeal, without parts, without body, and therefore free from all limitations. He is Spirit (John 4:24), and a spirit hath not flesh and bones. (Luke 24:39). The first of all the commandments is, hear, 0 Israel; the Lord our God is one Lord (Mark 12:29; Deut. 6:4). One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all (Eph. 4:6). This one true God manifested Himself in the Old Testament in diver’s ways; in the Son while He walked among men; as the Holy Spirit after the ascension.

THE SON OF GOD

The one true God, the Jehovah of the Old Testament, took upon Himself the form of man, and as the Son of man, was born of the virgin Mary. As Paul says and without controversy great is the mystery of Godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory (1 Timothy 3:16). He came unto His own, and His own received Him not (John 1:11). This one true God was manifest in the flesh, that is, in His Son Jesus Christ. . . God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto Himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them. . . (2 Cor. 5:19). We believe that, . . in Him (Jesus) dwelled all the fullness of the Godhead bodily (Col. 2:9). For it pleased the Father that in Him should all fullness dwell (Col. 1:19). Therefore, Jesus in His humanity was man; in His deity was and is God. His flesh was the lamb, or the sacrifice of God. He is the only mediator between God and man. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus (1 Timothy 2:5). Jesus on His Father's side was divine, on His mother's side, human; Thus, He was known as the Son of God and also the son of man, or the God-man. For He hath put all things under His feet. But when He saith all things are put under Him, it is manifest that He is accepted, which did put all things under Him (1 Cor. 15:27). And when all things shall be subdued unto Him, then shall the Son also Himself be subject unto Him that put all things under Him, that God may be all in all (1 Cor. 15:28). I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty (Rev. 1:8).

THE NAME

God used different titles, such as God Elohim, El Shaddai, Jehovah, and especially Jehovah Lord, the redemptive name in the Old Testament. unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: ... and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, the Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6). This prophecy of Isaiah was fulfilled when the Son of God was named, And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call His name Jesus: for He shall save His People from their sins (Matt. 1:21). Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved (Acts 4:12).

REPENTANCE AND CONVERSION

Pardon and forgiveness of sins is obtained by genuine repentance, a confessing and forsaking of sins. We are justified by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 5:1). John the Baptist preached repentance, Jesus proclaimed it, and the Apostles emphasized it to both Jews and Gentiles. (Acts 2:38, 11:18, 17:30). The word repentance comes from several Greek words which mean, change of views and purpose, change of heart, change of mind, change of life, to transform, etc. Jesus said, -except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish (Luke 13:3). Luke 24:47 says, And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

BAPTISMS

TO BE SAVED ONE MUST BE BAPTIZED

Mar 16:16

He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.~ Jesus

WATER BAPTISM

The scriptural mode of baptism is immersion, and is only for those who have fully repented, having turned from their sins and a love of the world. It should be administered by a duly authorized minister of the Gospel, in obedience to the Word of God, and in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, according to the Acts of the Apostles 2:38, 8:16, 10:48, 19:5; thus obeying and fulfilling Matthew 28:19.

TWO BAPTISMS: WATER AND HOLY SPIRT

Acts11:16

Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost.

Acts 19:2 -6 He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.

3 And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John's baptism.

4 Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.

5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

6 And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.

THE BAPTISM OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

John the Baptist, in Matthew 3:11, said, ...He shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire. Jesus, in Acts 1:5, said, ...ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence. Luke tells us in Acts 2:4, they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues (languages), as the Spirit gave them utterance. The Holy Spirit is given to those who obey him;

And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him Acts 5:32.

The terms baptize with the Holy Ghost and fire, filled with the Holy Spirit, and the gift of the Holy Ghost are synonymous terms used interchangeably in the Bible. It is scriptural to expect all who receive the gift, filling, or baptism of the Holy Spirit to receive the same physical, initial sign of speaking with other tongues. The speaking with other tongues, as recorded in Acts 2:4, 10:46, and 19:6, and the gift of tongues, as explained in 1 Corinthians, chapters 12 and 14, are the same in essence, but different in use and purpose. The Lord, through the Prophet Joel, said, I will pour out my Spirit upon all flesh; ... (Joel 2:28). Peter, in explaining this phenomenal experience, said, having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, He (Jesus) hath shed forth this which ye now see and hear. (Acts 2:33). Further, ...The promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call. (Acts 2:39).

The Holy Spirit given yestrday is also given today, because he has not changed!

Various Gifts for The Church:

1Cr.12:10

To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues

COMMUNION

On the night of our Lord's betrayal, He ate the Passover supper with His Apostles, after which He instituted the sacrament. "And He took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, this is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me. Likewise also the cup after supper saying, this cup is the New Testament in my blood, which is shed for you." (Luke 22:19-20).

Paul instructed the church how to observe it (I Cor. 11:23-34).

EVIDENCE OF TRUE CONVERTION WILL PRODUCE FRUIT AND OBEDIENCE

TRUE CONVERSION IS OBEDIENCE AND BEARING FRUIT-

Many today loosely call themselves a Christian, the definition of a Christian is the following: The Greek word Χριστιανός (Christianos)—meaning "follower of Christ"—comes from Χριστός (Christos)—meaning "anointed one"[5]—with an adjectival ending borrowed from Latin to denote adhering to, or even belonging to, as in slave ownership. In the definition of Christian is following Christ, that is his teachings footsteps. This requires action on the behalf of the believer being that a "Christian" is a follower of Christ, following after his footsteps. The words of Jesus Luke 9:23 And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me. Jesus states, IF ANY MAN COME AFTER ME, he must do the following: denying self, and taking up his cross daily. There should be outward evidence of following Christ of fruit bearing and obedience. Obedience Striving to keep His Commandments- "Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams." 1 Sam 15:22. We believe that being a Christian is to not only believe in his name to be saved, but also be obedient to the calling

Obedience to the Call is Keeping the Commandments

The truly converted will be striving to keep his commandments!

John 14:21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.... and in Jhn 15:10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love. 1 Jo 2:3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.

A word of warning : Mat 5:19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach [them], the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. and this verse...1Jo 2:4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. He dwells in those who keeps HIS commandments,1Jo 3:24 And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he inhim. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us. We know we are his children and love him when we keep his commandments. 1Jo 5:2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments. A promise received in asking because we keep his commandments! 1Jo 3:22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.

CONSIDERING THE COST AND FOLLOWING CHRIST

SELLING WHAT ONE HAS AND DISTRUBITING TO THE POOR

True convesion for the rich yourg ruler required something. What Must I do to inherit eternal life? First keep commandments, secondly, sell what you have and give to the poor and follow him. Math 13: 44-46. The Rich Young Ruler (Matthew 19:16-30; Mark 10:17-31) 18And a certain ruler asked him, saying, Good Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life? 19And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? none is good, save one, that is, God. 20Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honour thy father and thy mother. 21And he said, All these have I kept from my youth up. 22Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me. 23And when he heard this, he was very sorrowful: for he was very rich. 24And when Jesus saw that he was very sorrowful, he said, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God! 25For it is easier for a camel to go through a needle's eye, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. 26And they that heard it said, Who then can be saved? 27And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.28Then Peter said, Lo, we have left all, and followed thee.

The overiding message of Jesus of the Kingdom of Heaven is selling what one has, they are found in The Parables -Mathew 13: vs.44 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field. 45 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls: 46 Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.

FOLLOWING ONLY ONE MASTER

The truly converted will have one master-No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. Mt 6:24

TRUE CONVERSION RESEMBLES THE EARLY CHURCH:

The truly converted will be moving in the Holy Spirit as the Holy Spirit moved in the early church, fellowshipping, daily and selling possessions so none lacked. Acts 4:32 And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common.33 And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.34 Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold,35 And laid them down at the apostles' feet: and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need.

And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all [men], as every man had need

And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, Praising God, and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved. Acts 2:45-47

A WARNING: and to not tithe what Jesus has required is robbing from the store houses of God. Mal 3:7"From the days of your fathers you have turned aside from My statutes and have not kept them. Return to Me, and I will return to you," says the LORD of hosts. "But you say, 'How shall we return?' 8"Will a man rob God? Yet you are robbing Me! But you say, 'How have we robbed You?' In tithes and offerings. 9"You are cursed with a curse, for you are robbing Me, the whole nation of you!

BEARING FRUIT AND FORSAKING ALL

The truly converted will be forsaking all, following Christ may mean we have to leave our families. Mathew 19: 29 and Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel's, 30 But he shall receive an hundred-fold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.

EVIDENCE OF MINISTRY WORK

BRINGING FORTH THE GREAT COMMISION, EVANGELISM

The Truly Convereted will be active and bringing forth the great commission-14Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen. 15And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. 16He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. 18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen. Math 28:18-20

MINISTERING HEALING TO THE SICK AND DEMON POSSESSED

We believe that the converted, shall speak with a new tongue, cast out devils/demons and heal the sick, and NOT be sickly theselves! (Matthew 28:17And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 18They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

MINSITERING TO THE FATHERLESS AND WINDOW

The truly converted will reaching out to help the fatherless and widow. (note: In Hebrew widow means, abandoned women) 27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world. James 1:27.

NOT helping the widow or fatherless is oppressing them: Zechariah 7:9Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, Execute true judgment, and shew mercy and compassions every man to his brother: 10 And oppress not the widow, nor the fatherless, the stranger, nor the poor; and let none of you imagine evil against his brother in your heart.

THE LAST DAYS

LOOKING FOR HIS APPEARING

Our belief is the truly converted will be looking for his return. Titus 2:13

Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ;

OVERCOMMING

Letters to the 7 Churces: Rev. 2-3

Our summation based on the 7 letters to the Church: If you test false prophets; endure persecution; reject Nicolaitan practices you are spiritually rich; remain faithful to Christ, you show love, faith, service, endurance; doing more now than before, stayed clean." You kept My Word, and did not deny My Name.( being obedient=keeping thy word).Rev 3:8I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.

TO PROFESSING CHRISTINS WHO ARE DISOBEDIENT TO THE GOSPEL AND DENY THE POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT- We will turn away! 3 But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, 4 traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! 6 For of this sort are those who creep into households and make captives of gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts, 7 always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Other ways of denying the Power of the Holy Spirit is to not trust him for a healing of sickness or a disease, but rather trusting and relying on pharmaceuticals for a healing. Pharmaceutical is an other word for Sorcery. We believe we are to turning away from soceries/pharmaceutical. In the New Testament, the word Sorceries in Greek is pharmacia ( Strongs Exhaustive Conconcordance G5331)

Rev 9:21 tells us that they did not repent of their "pharmaceuticals" Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries (pharmacetucls), nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.

The merchants of the Earth decieved the nations with phamactucls.

Rev 18:23And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries (Pharmacia) were all nations deceived.

So....

Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. Phill 2:12
